- For Making Kadai Masala:
- 2 tbsp Coriander Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Black Peppercorns
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 Inch Cinnamon Stick
- 4-5 Dried Red Chillies
- For Making Gravy:
- 200 gms Paneer (Store Bought)
- 4 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1/4 cup Onion (Cubes)
- 1/4 cup Tomato (Cubes)
- 1/4 cup Green Bell Pepper (Cubes)
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 cup Onion (Finely Chopped)
- 1 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Ginger Juliennes
- 3/4 cup Ground Tomato Puree
- 1 1/2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 3/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 3 tbsp Tomato Puree (Store Bought)
- As per taste Salt
- 3 tbsp Amul Cream
- 1 tsp Honey
- 100 ml Water (More or Less according to desired consistency)
Instructions to make to make Restaurant Style Kadai Paneer
- Firstly, make the Kadai masala. In a pan, add coriander seeds, black peppercorns, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick and dried red chillies. Dry roast until slightly brown and releases aroma. Allow it to cool. Transfer it into a mixer jar and grind it into a coarse powder. Set it aside.



- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil. Add the onion, tomato and green bell pepper cubes and fry on high for a minute or two. Transfer them on to a plate and set aside. Cut the paneer into cubes and keep it in hot water for 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.



- In the same pan, heat remaining oil and butter.

- Add cumin seeds and allow it to sizzle for 30 seconds.



- Add the finely chopped onions and saute until soft and pink.

- Add the ginger garlic paste and ginger Juliennes and saute till the raw smell leaves.


- Add the ground tomato puree and saute on high for 2-3 minutes.


- Add kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, kadai masala and tomato puree. Saute on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.


- Add salt and water and cook until the masala releases oil. Ie. For about 4-5 minutes.



- Add cream and mix. Cook for a minute or two.

- Now add the fried onion, tomato and green bell pepper cubes and the paneer cubes and mix it well.


- Add honey and cook only for a minute. Garnish with ginger juliennes.



- Restaurant Style Kadai Paneer is ready. Serve it with hot roti, paratha, naan and some onion rings.
